In 2010-2011, Fourier Education was a proud sponsor and supporter of the European Schoolnet-Fourier Science Pilot.
The goal of this research project is to analyze the potential impact of using sensors and data loggers in the science lessons on teachers and pupils, and enhance science education in schools. Nine schools from six countries (Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, the UK, Spain) were selected to implement the first phase of the pilot.
The final report highlights six issues that are all of importance when working towards a more systematic 1:1 pedagogy implementation in education.

European Schoolnet (EUN) is a network of 30 Ministries of Education in Europe and beyond. EUN was created 15 years ago to bring innovation in teaching and learning to its key stakeholders: Ministries of Education, schools, teachers and researchers.
FUTURE CLASSROOM LAB
Based in Brussels, the Future Classroom Lab provides a platform where policy makers can rethink their ICT strategies and where teachers, head teachers and ICT advisers can experiment with innovative pedagogical approaches within flexible learning environments.
The Future Classroom Lab is a re-configurable teaching and learning space developed by European Schoolnet, its 30 supporting Ministries of Education and leading educational technology providers.
It provides:
- A room designed as an interactive classroom to illustrate how a traditional classroom setting can use technology to enhance interactivity and student participation.
- A large reconfigurable open space divided into five learning ‘zones’ where you can explore innovative use of technology.
- A showcase for teaching and learning scenarios for the future classroom developed within the iTEC project, involving 14 Ministries of Education.
- Continuing professional development opportunities through the CPDLab project, delivering training courses directly related to the needs of teachers in the future classroom.
